Cookie policy

This policy explains the cookies New Windows Now sets, what each one does and how to control them.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use them to understand which marketing campaign brought you here so we can attribute and improve our advertising. You do not need to accept cookies to browse this site or to submit the quote form.

Cookies we set

When you land on the site we set first-party cookies whose names begin with wml_. They store marketing attribution only — never your name, email or phone number — and each one expires 90 days after it is set.

CookiePurposeExpiry
wml_utm_source, wml_utm_medium, wml_utm_campaign, wml_utm_term, wml_utm_content Store the UTM campaign values from the link you followed, so your enquiry is attributed to the right campaign. 90 days
wml_gclid, wml_fbc, wml_fbp and similar Store advertising click identifiers passed by ad platforms (for example Google and Meta) for the same attribution purpose. 90 days
wml_landing_url Records the first page you arrived on, so we know your entry point. 90 days

The same values are also stored in your browser’s local storage as a fallback, so attribution survives if you leave and return.

Tag manager and analytics cookies

A Google Tag Manager snippet is included in the site but is currently switched off. If and when we enable tagging, analytics and advertising cookies it sets (for example Google Analytics’ _ga cookies) will be added to this policy before they go live.

Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings, and set most browsers to warn you before a cookie is stored. Guidance for every major browser is available at aboutcookies.org. Blocking the cookies above will not stop you using this site.
